Mobile Loaves Twin Cities

Started in Austin, Texas in 1998 when five parishioners of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Austin began delivering meals out of the back of their minivans to men and women they found living on the streets of their city.

After learning about the program, a small group of Saint Joan of Arc parishioners organized Mobile Loaves & Fishes Minneapolis. Mobile Loaves and Fishes donated a delivery truck, Knox Presbyterian Church provided storage space and use of their recently remodeled kitchen, and on March 17, 2010, the first truck run on the streets and neighborhoods of Minneapolis took place.
